Class 2 – Autistic Behavior:
What’s Behind it and How to Manage it in the Classroom

Required Pre-requisite:  Class 1

The purpose of this class is to provided specific understanding of strategies to support helping the child with autism stay calm and regulated in the classroom, both neurologically and emotionally. This class will serve as a guide for teachers in understanding and managing difficult behavior in the classroom, creating more effective interventions, as well as delivering tips to leverage additional strategies to support the entire class.

This class is delivered as 7 comprehensive, easy to digest lessons. Each lesson contains a mix of audio recordings, video recordings and written content which is accessible anywhere, anytime that best fits your schedule.

  • Lesson 1: All behavior has meaning
  • Lesson 2: Birth to behavior, the control theory part 1
  • Lesson 3: Sensory hypersensitivity, neurological regulation and the control theory part 2
  • Lesson 4: Helping a child stay on task in the classroom
  • Lesson 5: Allowing sensory breaks /sensory diets
  • Lesson 6: Emotional regulation, managing anger, and meltdowns
  • Lesson 7: Managing physical aggression

Jeanne is the mother of 2 sons diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD. As a certified life coach she dedicates her time to helping those who live with, work with and love someone with autism succeed in life.

As a teacher you will learn how the autistic brain impacts the child, the behaviors you can expect to see and a set of tools necessary to regulate and manage the child successfully.
